Frequently Asked Questions

How much hair do you need?

For an average head size, here is our suggestion:

12" - 14" = 2 bundles

16" - 20" = 3 bundles

22" - 30" = 4 bundles or more

What type of hair care products should I use?

Treat this hair just as if it was your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use leave in conditioners. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave in these products for a long time. Tresemme products are recommended

Why are my hair extensions getting tangled?

Your Hair Extensions can tangle due to dryness, oil & dirt build-up, salt water, chlorine and not combing out your hair daily. Wash & condition your hair at least once a week, twice a week is better. Ask your stylist for more help.

 Can I color this hair?

Yes, this is 100% virgin human hair which is not processed in any way. So your hair can be colored to any shade desired. Once virgin hair is treated in anyway, it is no longer virgin.

Can my hair be straightened, curled?

Treat the hair as if it is your own. Use a flat iron / straightener

Can I wash & blow-dry the hair?

You can wash them as you do with your own using Shampoo and conditioner. We also recommend using a hair treatment on your hair every few weeks, because the hair is not attached to your scalp, it will not be getting the oils like your real hair. Using a treatment / hair mask you will need to wash your extensions, about every 3 weeks.

The extensions can be Blow-dried on low setting, but not do it often. It is best to let your hair extensions dry naturally after washed.

How long does it last?

This hair can last for a long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take good care of it, it will last longer.

 What is virgin hair?

Refers to hair that is completely unprocessed, and intact. To qualify as virgin hair, it must meet rigorous standards including: has not been permed, colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction. Usually, it also means that is has not been blow-dried, nor exposed to harsh agents such as cigarette smoke and drugs.

How big is a Bundle?

A bundle will weigh 100g (3.5oz). No matter the length of hair this is why you need more bundles for longer length hair.

What colors does the hair come in?

Virgin hair only comes in the natural color of the donors which is typically 1b-4 (dark brown to light brown) and is not colored in any way by our company.

Can the wefts be cut?

Our wefts are not meant to be cut. If you need to cut your weft you must seal the ends so that hair will not shed from the cut end of the weft.

Will the hair wave up again after being straightened?

Yes it will, but the more the hair is  straightened the more the pattern will be lost. It is important to remember that the hair is not attached to any cuticles so it no longer is receiving any nourishment, so if you continuously straighten you will relax the pattern just like you would with your own hair

What is a frontal sew in vs a lace closure sew in?

A frontal sew in is from ear to ear it allows you to part your hair anywhere and where multiple hair styles. It also is more maintenance and the cost is more. Frontal sew ins do last up to 3 months with proper maintenance with coming once a month. A lace closure sew in is a small lace that only allows one part with less maintenance. Both can last for 3 months
